Certification to CMMC advanced cybersecurity standard strengthens company's position as a trusted partner to government, defense and national security partners

VIAVI Solutions LLC, the Aerospace and Defense division of VIAVI Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) (NASDAQ: VIAV) today announced the successful completion of its Level 2 CMMC certification for its radio test, avionics, synthetic and modular, and Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) product lines.

The CMMC assessment process was conducted by leading C3PAO A-LIGN, an experienced federal assessor and compliance partner trusted by more than 6,400 global organizations to help mitigate cybersecurity risks.

"Achieving CMMC Level 2 certification reflects our dedication to safeguarding the sensitive information that underpins national security and reinforces our role as a trusted partner to the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB)," said Doug Russell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Aerospace and Defense, VIAVI. "We look forward to extending the certification to the Inertial Labs product lines, which were acquired by VIAVI in 2025."

CMMC was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure that cybersecurity controls and processes adequately protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) that resides on DIB systems and networks to protect national security. This certification is mandatory for all entities doing business with the DoD.

"Congratulations to the VIAVI Aerospace and Defense team for achieving CMMC Level 2 certification. This accomplishment demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding valuable information to protect our nation, developing a competitive advantage, and creating a culture of security," said Petar Besalev, Executive Vice President of Compliance and Cybersecurity Services, A-LIGN. "We're proud to support this integral step in VIAVI's compliance journey with a high-quality assessment process and deep expertise in federal compliance."

This certification demonstrates VIAVI's commitment to safeguarding the United States' national security by complying with CMMC's rigorous standards and protecting federal contract information and CUI.
